This shouldn't be here...it should be in the place where off topic things are. Unless this is a chocolate cake having to do with sewing squares of fabric, and since it is nestle's website, I doubt it is. Hopefully a moderator will move it.

SueDor 08-03-2012 02:17 AM

Nothing better than chocolate!

Moonglow 08-03-2012 02:44 AM

Liza63 08-03-2012 03:10 AM

I really don't get your point ... since when are we not to post recipes in the RECIPE section ??????????????

Poojamadhaven posted a recipe that she likes and wanted to share
... no different than when the rest of us post recipes we want to share

Poojamadhaven ... Welcome! to the Board. Most quilters have favourite recipes. Thanks for sharing yours!

ptquilts 08-03-2012 08:51 AM

when someone's first post contains a link to a commercial website, it makes me wonder. Especially since I saw this same post on another forum. With the same user.

bluteddi 08-03-2012 09:59 AM

I freq post the same thing on different boards......... so what

it is not spam it is a legitamate site with the recipe she mentions.....and it is posted in the correct forum "recipes"

So, it leads us to a Nestle corporate site ... and not to porn or spam or such.

I haven;t noticed complaints when other links to other recipes are posted ... some of which I'd have more question as to the site credibility and safety than with Nestle.

mrs. fitz 08-04-2012 06:52 AM

Is the "problem" the commercial website or the recipe being called a "dessert for Ramadan"? Let's keep politics/religion off the Board okay? Of course this belongs under "Recipes" and the only problem I see is that it sounds dangerously delicious!!! Too good to keep away from. (And sneaking little pieces of chocolate cake leaves crumbs on the fingers that can transfer to fabric LOL!!!) Thanks for posting the link.

piepatch 08-04-2012 06:55 AM

This recipe is posted in the "recipe" thread, which is exactly where it should be! You did it right, poojamadhavan!

Tartan 08-04-2012 07:19 AM

I am always ready for chocolate! Nice cake recipe and the icing recipe is one I haven't tried. It sounds DELICIOUS! Welcome from Ontario, Canada.

Good one .... yes, too dangerous!!!!!!!

Can anything chocolate ever be wrong? :)

sewgray 08-04-2012 10:02 AM

Since she just joined and, this is her first and only post, I think it's questionable.

SUZAG 08-04-2012 11:45 AM

I wish this was in our equivalents...is a "tin" of sweetened condensed milk a "can"? Maybe I can go to Nestle site and find it under another name...love, love, love, chocolate cake! Thanks for the post!

chips88 08-04-2012 12:00 PM

nestle's makes the very best... chocolate.

maryellen2u 08-04-2012 12:24 PM

Chocolate always has something to do with quilting! I've enjoyed many recipes that have been posted here as well as links to other commercial sites. Thanks for yet another excuse to eat some chocolate-like I need it!

maryellen2u 08-04-2012 12:44 PM

The only thing that bothers me here is the metric conversions. No one's fault, just saying...

Some of the world lives in metric ....
......... and struggle when imperial measurements are posted!

Chips88 .... good singing of the jingle! And I bet your Chips88, is all about Chocolate Chips!!

SuzAg ... I would suspect a tin would mean a can ... as in "tin can"

It was the same thing on the other forum, that is what gave me pause.

I am online early in the morning and see it a LOT on the other forum.

blimey 08-04-2012 03:14 PM

The cooking temperature for the chocolate cake is in Celsius. Farenheight (sp) cooking temp will be around 325 or 350 degrees.Actually 347 degrees. Also, the word tin is the same as can here in the US. Sounds like a really tasty treat to me.

QuiltE 08-04-2012 03:34 PM

Here's a link to a conversion calculator ........

Alondra 08-04-2012 03:58 PM

Sounds like it might be illegal. <G> Has anybody checked with the Calorie Police? Oh, fiddlesticks... who cares?! I'll bake one tomorrow, then repent on Monday. That'll work! Thanks, too, for the conversion chart, QuiltE.
