I wanted to put this in the recipe topics but couldn't get to it (not in the dropdown where I am in the system) -
so, for fun, if you cook (and draw!) this is just a fun place. It does have nice recipes and is very creative and fun to look thru - http://www.theydrawandcook.com/ (kids and grands will LOVE this site! Look up soups, they have a recipe for "dragon soup" how cute it that. It says to use 1 dragon tail, but if not available 2 cans of chicken 'n rice soup will do!) sharet |
What a cut idea to get kids interested in cooking, thanks

Thank You so very very much for posting this link. I have a self-contained classroom and we love to cook. These recipes will be fun to cook and read too.

you're welcome - what is a self contained classrm? sounds interesting sharet

I have a autism unit but I prefer to just say self contained program as it doesn't put a defined label on a program or students.... my label is dysfunctional quilter among a thousand others. I can't wait to print, share, and vote on what to cook first.

I am sure your students will get a real kick out of these type of recipes. They kind of that the rigidness out of working in the kitchen, sharet

I love these lines: If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft and in thy slender store two loaves alone to thee are left, sell one and with the dole buy hyacinths to feed thy soul. -Muslih-uddin Sadi.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever. -John Keats. I tried to post the poem Bread and Roses but its disappeared. I had it sung by judy collins, I think. Its a beautiful song and poem. You can google it to read it sharet |
