I think I posted this one on June 25th but for those who might have missed it here it is again. It is an unusual cookie and very delicious for a chocolate chip cookie.
It is not your ordinary chocolate chip recipe. It really surprises people when they bite into them. They are from a bed and breakfast place that put them into a basket with a bottle of wine left in their customer's room for them at night. Called Sweet Dreams.

Sounds yummy, but when do you mix in the sour cream? (I have a recipe with the same name but no sour cream. Is it the same with an addition?)

SWEET DREAM COOKIES

1 Cup Butter
1 ½ Cups Brown sugar
1 Large Egg
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
¼ Cup Sour cream
2 ½ Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking soda
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Ginger
1 -2 Cups Chocolate chips
1 Cup Nuts (optional)

Cream butter using electric mixer.
Beat in brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and ginger.
Blend into butter mixture.
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Refrigerate for 1 day to give the flavors time to blend.
Preheat oven to 375.
Make 1 1/2" balls aprox. and roll in powdered sugar.
Place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart, they do spread some.
Bake aprox. 10 min. Under bake if anything, they turn out nicer if they are just barely brown on the edges.
Let cool and transfer to airtight container.

Note.
I most often just bake them after mixing them up and they still turn out very nice.
I use a medium sized scoop and just scoop and drop into the powdered sugar. Keeps my hands cleaner that way.
