Five Spice Powder Spareribs
2 pounds pork ribs 1 1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. granulated sugar 2 T. ketchup 2 T. hoisin sauce 1 T. Chinese five spice powder 2 T. honey 1 T. soy sauce Rub ribs with salt. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Cut pork ribs into pieces with 3 to 4 bones per piece. Place the ribs in a deep large baking pan. Pour mixture over ribs and marinate at least 2 1/2 hours. Preheat oven to 425. Bake for 45 minutes, turning ribs once during cooking. Serve with extra barbecue sauce. |
