Good ol' whipped cream, but NOT from a can. Whipped cream you beat yourself with a sniff of vanilla added stays right in line with the fresh taste of the lemon cake!

I like to do buttercream icing made with lemonade for the liquid.

This is the best lemon frosting. Make a package of lemon pie filling and mix with one container of cool whip and frost after you refrigerate it till cool. Two layer cake its awesome

I usually make layers, use lemon curd for filling and a nice dusting of conf. sugar on top ... yum. (reading so many different idea, had to dig out a lemon drop to suck on!) :D

Having gone back and read Sweeterthanwine's lemon glaze, I'm thinking layers, lemon curd and the glaze on top ... shoot, where did I put the rest of those lemon drops? Drool :p
