Does anyone know how to cool down some hot salsa. I made it and canned it in a hot water bath but it is way too hot for me. I sure am hoping there is a way to cool it down. Other than being hot it is an awesome salsa.

I make a fresh Salsa and when it's too hot, I just add more tomatoes and other non hot ingredients

Its already canned. Not really sure what to do.

this won't help now that it's canned but if I am eating salsa and it is too warm for my tastes, I mix it with Ranch dressing. It gives it a wonderful, creamy flavor.

Like the ranch dressing, sour cream will cool it down. Otherwise, serving over rice will help. In the meantime, mark the jars as HOT and mix in a jar of canned tomatoes when you open them.

Thank you everyone. My sister told me about the Ranch Dressing but I thought she was nuts. LOL!

You could have sour cream on the side. Dairy helps to stop the burning after biting into a hot pepper.

I would mix sour cream.

I believe a spoonful of sugar helps
