I put olive oil in a spray bottle to apply the oil. It's faster.

I bake them at 425 degrees for only 15 minutes... not a minute more or they will burn.

Sea salt them after baking. Salt brings moisture out of vegetables, and you're trying to dry them out.

I make these every week! :)

I was told by a seller at a local farmers market that the red/purple is sweeter/milder in taste. I like both types as chips.

I am curious if anyone has tried this with other greens? I have some baby spinach in the fridge that I'd like to try making chips with.

Never tried it before but guess I will have to now. Thanks

Thanks for sharing. We are big Kale fans at our house. Most of the time it is a salad, but I will make these today. Kale is at the top in terms of nutritional value, above spinach, so very good for you.

Never cared for Kale, but I do love spinach. But with all leafy green veggies I have to watch how much I eat. Being on blood thinners to much vitamin K is bad.

Costco now has a vegetable mix for a salad that is kale, broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, and others I can't remember all cut in fine pieces and it is really good. Comes with pumpkin seeds and a poppy seed dressing. Those of you who have a costco might want to try it. It is in the refrigerated section with the vegetables and fruits.

Thanks for the great idea! I bet it tastes like kelp chips which I hear are good.

Tried Kale for the first time last year, but it was chopped and cooked with a little bacon garlic and some sea salt, I'm going back to the same place next month going to try and get the recipe. I had heard that Kale chips were good going to have to try it now.

What is Polk Sallet?? Sounds like something that grows in the garden but I've never heard of it
