Thank you for this recipe. I use to have it, but lost it. It is one of my favorites. Another family favorite is Mona Marie's chocolate drop cookies

My sister makes these and they are really good.
Oreo Truffles 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened 1 pkg. (15.3 oz.) OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 4-1/4 cups), divided 2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted MIX cream cheese and 3 cups cookie crumbs until well blended. SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Dip in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs. REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator. |
Something very very simple!
2 bags milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate or the new dark chocolate chips 1 jar honey dry roasted nuts or just dry roasted nuts melt chocolate in microwave - stir in nuts and put on wax paper to set now my kids do not et peanuts - by choice not allergies they prefer almonds so I did the same thing and put in sliced almonds and unsweetened coconut (again my kids do not want all the sugar) yes there is sugar in the chocolate but they are ok with special dark chocolate-that is 50% cocoa - of course you could melt some bars that are 70 or 80 % and they would be less sugar i just eyeball and make sure that the almonds and unsweetened coconut is covered and then drop on wax paper They freeze well |
