I found these on a recipea for dogs and cats, Blue buffalo.com I am still going to try some of these.

barbo117 11-10-2012 03:31 PM

Thank you for these, I am going to make some for my dogs. After an awful experience with store bought dog treats, my pets will no longer get any doggie bone/treats that say made in China or Taiwan. Cost us big $$$ to treat 3 dogs that became very very sick. Vet told us to go to the FDA website, (Federal Drug Administration) and read about dog treats made in China. We didn't know about all of this but we do now and there will be no more "store bought" treats for our pets. Going to mix up a batch tomorrow!!!

Chicken, Rice & Veggies Recipe for Cats & Dogs

COOK 2 cups of boneless chicken breast well. (if there is a little juice from chicken fat after cooking save 1 Teaspoon of it.)

Grind COOKED chicken breast.

COOK 1 1/2 Cups or 2 Cups of PLAIN BROWN RICE.

Steam 1/4th cup of minced or or chopped Peas. Cooked fresh (not from a can if you can get them other wise.)

After all are cooked put the Chicken and Brown Rice together in a Blender and blend well. (Do not blend peas with those two.)

If peas or minced or blended separate make sure they are small parts and not whole. Then put the peas over the chicken and rice. (You can mix it or stir it all together a little to make it more appealing to your cat.) If you have a teaspoon of the fat juices the chicken was cooked it you can pour that over the meal as a safe type of gravy for your cat.

Obviously make sure it is not too hot when your serving your pet her healthy gourmet pet food meal.

This meal will be simple and worth the effort. It is said to be a very tasty and healthy meal with nutritional values your pet needs.

I have a new cat food recipes and new dog food recipes section now for free Safe and Healthy Pet food ideas and recipe's online. Feel free to print them up and book mark the site for the new recipes as they come. I will be working on several different recipe's for pets to put together a pretty good size section here for Free Healthy & Safe Pet Food Recipes. Keep in mind this section of the website is totally free and here to help your pets. Remember it is always a privilege and honor to be allowed to have pets that we can love and care for. Check the links on my site often for more free pet food recipe's

Keep in mind cats have corn and peas also adding in their pet foods with the meats. If you make their meals proper and make sure they have everything they need for complete nutrition your cat can have homemade pet foods and meals and be even healthier than if they were to eat only the store bought foods ect.

Pets are like people and some of them have pet allergies to things ect. This is advise on things that you can try for your pet to keep them on safe foods and keep them healthy and happy. These are tips and ideas on things to look into but, it is only advise. What you do with it from there is up to you. I hope you will be very careful and I hope that I was of help. I will try always to add to this and update it as much as I am able. Below is a funny and cute kitty clip of my cat Zola when she made the news. :) She is so smart and loving. I do not buy dog treats as it is too expensive for 5 dogs. I know they love treats since they had them in the past. Looking forward to trying these for my furry friends. Thank you for sharing. Take care.
