Yes, you sure could! You can shape them into Easter peeps too -- all colors!

This sounds like a really nice gift item for Christmas. Can you add vanilla when mixture is still warm? I think a few of the local knit group made these and dipped them in chocolate. Their comments were positive about how good they were.

Glad you asked about the vanilla! I added it when blending both syrup and gelatin mix together right before beating. I forgot to say that gelatin has no flavor so yes definitely add either vanilla flavoring or peppermint with crushed peppermint that marshmallows are rolled in or almond flavoring, anything to give it a boost in flavor!

Yummy, I made these a few times and dipped them in melting chocolate. So good.

I should have asked earlier, but I wasn't thinking. After cutting them do you dust them with powder sugar to keep them from sticking together??? :eek:
