What age group will be coming? I've found that food for teenagers, 20yr olds, 4o yr old are three different food groups, never mind the old codgers. What activities will they be doing? Dancing? Shouting at the TV, X-Box, talking quietly, playing card games?

I've had good luck with little smokies or other small sausages, whole mushrooms, and sometimes premade meatballs tossed into the slow cooker with 2 parts BBQ sauce and 1 part catsup. Rarely do I come home with more than the slow cooker. (my neighbor says she likes BBQ sauce and beer better!)

Ham roll ups Slice of ham lunch meat spread with cream cheese, put a slice of pickle or a green onion in it and roll it up. Cut into bite size pieces about 1/2 inch.

I have also bought the chestnuts in a can and wrapped with a piece of bacon hold in place with a toothpick and bake until the bacon is done.

The Betty Crocker website has a great recipe for spinach cheese balls. They are delicious! Make a big batch and you can keep them frozen until you need them. Then you just take out and heat however many you need.
I've also made little kabobs with cubes of cheese, ham, salami, olives and or pickle slices. Very popular.

Enjoy!
