ok I made the cake with blueberry. It tastes wonderful, but....I didnt bake correctly, it took a long time to get the inside done. Then outside was very brown. I will have to try it again I guess.

Okay, one more question, clarification really
If I use a 9x13 pan do I have to turn it upsidedown?
I dont want to have cake on the table or floor instead of the plates. :)

No, DON'T turn it upside down. I'm not even sure you would with the Angelfood cake pan. You do that with the Angelfood with egg whites but not sure about this one.

I like to do the spice cake with pumpkin and add half a bag of white chocolate chips.

Do you follow the ingredients for the Angel Food Cake Mix or do you just add the "dry Angel Food Cake Mix" to the pie filling without adding any other liquid ingredients?

As said in several of the previous posts ......... JUST the mix and the pie filling

I had the stuff around the house waiting to try this one and did it today, but it didn't work out for me. I put it into two 9inch square pans, figured that was larger than a 9x 13 so no run over. It ran over anyway, which was no big deal since the oven is self cleaning. Managed to clear the smoke from that one and pulled them out of the oven. Looked wonderful, and the edges which has spilled over (my husband called this Cake Jerky) were nice and chewy and tasty. But within a few minutes the whole thing sunk in and it looked more like pudding.
I did a lot of looking on the net for two ingredient cakes and there are bunches of them, maybe it was the pie filling I used or the pan, so I won't give up. I saw one using lemon cake mix and sprite that sounds pretty good. Try googling two ingredient cakes.

l box Angel food cake
1 can apple pie filling.

Mix both together and put into a greased 9 x 13 cake pan in a 350 degree oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Honestly, that's the entire recipe and so nice to keep both ingredients in the house in case of unexpected guests.

What size can of pie filling?

I do this with a spice cake and pumpkin. Have also made it with "aged" bananas and had a banana bread cake. I also like to toss in a egg, kind of lightens it up a little. 9x13 pan, 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Adding a few extra spices does perk them up too but I am going to get some angel food cake mix today and apple pie filling and try this one. Sounds delicious.
