This is very good! Everyone who has tried those I made has raved about them. There are some good recipes on this site. Don't let the surprise ingredient put you off.

I have this recipe and make them a lot. My version of the recipe calls for sprite or 7 up. I use the diet 7-up and splenda and they taste great. The first time I made them I followed the recipe and used regular 7-up and sugar the second time I used the diet and splenda. My husband could not tell the difference.

Have you tried the Splenda/Brown Sugar mix for baking? I made some cookies yesterday and they are not bad. We try to use the Splenda instead of sugar.

quilty kitty, ccbear, and crossginny:

Thanks for the good news!! (that Splenda works in this recipe) (I used Fresca for the soda, and that worked fine, too.)

That will help a lot with the calories. Now if we could just solve the butter problem. :) :)

I think I will try them with fresh peaches, too. THANKS for this recipe!!
