That sounds sooo good. I am going to try it and also send it to my daughter who has lost 50 pounds on WW.

[QUOTE=QuiltE;5787963]ooooh ... how about chocolate cake and cherries, for a black forest twist!

MimiBug ... when you used apple pie filling, did you still use the soda? and same amounts?

I seem to recall a pie filling cobbler with the cake mix, but that you poured melted butter over top.

I have used the melted butter and the soda, just not at the same time. You just put the can of pie filling into a 9 x 13 baking dish, sprinkle the dry cake mix over it, and pour a stick of melted butter over it. One of our favorites is blackberry pie filling with french vanilla cake mix. It is lucious. The combinations of this are limited. Serve it up with cool whip or ice cream and your guests will think you spent all afternoon in the kitchen! Oh, another goody is cherry pie filling, chocolate cake mix, with coke poured over it. Yummy!

Mimibug are you thinking of what I call a dump cake? YOu dump a can of crushed pineapple in a 13x9 pan. Then you dump in a can of pie filling ( blueberry is our favorite) then you dump a dry yellow cake mix on that. I just thinly slice up a stick of butter and dot it on top. Sometimes I add nuts and bake.

This sounds good--I want to try it out. In the other recipe that you poured butter over top, somehow the mix never really got cover so you tasted some of the powdery cake mix. Pouring the Sprite over top should take care of that problem. Will try this.

I love this formula - thanks for telling me of it! I remember a dieters innovator providing this one out. Preferences really great with freezing peach masks. Even tried it with orange dessert mix and freezing combined fruit. Yum!

Thumbs up

My dear Quilters, you can use and mix just about any fruits, remember mixed fruit cocktail in the can or frozen one! Pies or cobblers!

Hummmm. Never thought to use fruit cocktail. But, that is something to think about. Might just give it a whirl!
