I dry the leaves and then gently crush them some to use in smoothies. Have 1 plant so far this year but need to get a few more.

When I cook with fruit, I do add sweetness, usually honey, but on fresh fruit? No I have never done that, but we do use Greek yogurt on fresh fruit, I just never thought to put sugar on just to eat it.
