i used crushed pineapple and yellow cake mix. Stirred with a big spoon, put fresh blueberries in bottom of greased 9by13 pan, poured cake mixture over, topped with slices of cold butter and a little sugar and baked according to package directions for glass or metal pan. Tasted great! Would probably be good with nuts also!

This is right up my alley! But I have a spice cake box mix I'm going to use. Mmmmm and some homemade pumpkin puree!

I've had this recipe a few years now and it was on my 'want to make' list but just got around to making it tonight with the apple pie filling. I may have to throw it out as the top browned too quickly only after 10 min. in the oven while the middle is still undone. I baked in 2 8x8's and the other one is much better but it's way too sweet for me. Awe shucks! It has a beautiful presentation but is not all it's cracked up to be! I prefer the dump cakes better. A regular cake mix with pumpkin sounds a whole let better!! Hope everyone has better luck than me!
