Default Wanted: Cranberry Walnut Bread Recipe

I've been looking for a Cranberry Walnut Bread recipe for years. The one I've tasted is probably a sourdough bread, but all my attempts have come up less than expected or desired. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Default Cranberry Walnut Bread

I bought a pottery bread baker many years ago and it had 12 bread recipes with it. This is one. You can no longer find Cran-Fruit cranberry orange, so I substitute 1 can whole fruit cranberry sauce. It is very good and almost like a tea bread. We like it with a xxx sugar glaze.

Combine dry ingredients
2 cups sifted(I never sift) self-rising flour
1/2 t. lemon peel
2/3 cup sugar

Add
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 container Cran-Fruit cranberry orange(see above)
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup margarine(melted)
1/4 cup milk
Pour into loaf pan and bake 60-70 minutes @ 350

Thank you for the responses. I will have to try your recipe Jodyma. I did google it several months ago and tried some of them ~ guess I was wanting a "tried and true" recipe. May have to re-visit the recipes on the net. There is a bakery in a neighboring town that sells it, and I can't seem to reproduce the same taste. But thanks to each of you for your help!

I have a terrific recipe for Cranberry Cheese Bread...one problem only. I can't walk by it without taking a slice and before you know it....it is gone! It has cranberries, walnuts, cheddar cheese, real orange juice...yum!! Might have to make some. If you are interested,,,PM me and I will send along the recipe.

Any bread by Peter Reinhart is a winner. His recipe has been tested over and over and
there are excellent reviews. I would definitely give this a try.

Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt, and peel into bowl. Cut in butter.
