This one of my favorites for every holiday.

Cranberry Salad

1 Large box Cherry jello
1 can bing cherries
1 can Cranberry sauce
1/2 cup chopped apples
1/2 cup chopped nuts ( I like pecans)
1/2 cup chopped celery

Use the juice from the drained cherries and enough water to make 2 cups liquid heat to a boiling and disolve Jello

Add Chopped apples, nuts and celery then chill.
I mix it up before serving.

a very good topping for it is.
1/2 block cream cheese
5 heaping tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons sour cream
mix well and top salad.

Well I have to say my ALL-Time favorite dish is good ole GREEN BEAN casserole. LOL

I could just eat that for the holidays and be happy. We also have a really good Orange candy bread that we make. I would have to dig out the recipe.

Question?
Holidays? as in Christmas?
or any festive family get together ... as in Thanksgiving (for Canada, that's October!), Easter, etc.

For Christmas ... it'd be Christmas Cake (qualified by the fact that yes, some are not the best, though mine's a sure fired favourite.

For Any and all ...
Turkey and Stuffing
Cranberry Sauce
Grammy's Creamed Onions

All the side dishes. Wouldn't even have to serve the meat.
