dinner in a pumpkin .. hollow out a pumpkin..keep 'lid'; fry hamburger with onions and drain, add water chestnuts, mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup and some worchestire sauce..bake in pumpkin for an hour or until pumpkin is just done..pull out and serve pumpkin meat with the rest..yumm

roast beef /yorkshire pud.
roast lamb roast veg around meat /mash.
beef bourginon and mixed root mash.
herb meatballs in light ale /peas in rice.
sausage and mash and onion gravy.
sm haddock/colcannon/poached egg.

and endless more comfort food!

I guess I look forward to being able to make my homemade Chili, burger soup, and beef stew. Also, if I am lucky enough to have venison, making venison stew. Also, I cant wait to start making my own bread again. Jeanniebelle

Fall is Octoberfest time and good things like Rouladen and sauerbraten with spaetzles and red cabbage comes to mind. Love to eat hearty stews and apple pie in the fall.

Making me hungry with all this talk of good foods. But in all honesty I don't want fall to come for a long time yet. Here we have not had a very good summer. Lots of rain.

grandma's chicken and dumplings, grandma's chicken pot pie, beef roasts,

normally as it gets cooler we use the oven more. when it's hot, it's mostly stovetop
