I agree with toverly - just let it go for now. However make sure at your meetings that you figure out who will be VP next year so the problem will be solved lol.

If it were me I would just quilt on a solid piece of fabric. Make the stitch pattern the point of interest. For me using pattern fabric would feel to busy for an end table. Just a thought :).
