I cut mine into 2" strips, or what ever size...
I cut mine into 2" strips, or what ever size square and retangles. I then sort them by size and make a scrapy quilt. Fun!

Yes, what happens is if you have even 1 loop sticking out from your bobbin, you needle and thread get tangled up and rips the bobbin threads until it bogs down the machine causing the clunk clunk...
