I stick with a normal 1/4 inch too. My blocks sometimes turn out a little smaller but if all of my seams are this way, I don't generally have an issue matching seams later.

I get that way once in a while too. It's weird when that happens. I think that happens to me when there are SO many things I like that I can't choose just a few so I get nothing at all.
