I have a 15-91 Singer that I do all my free motion quilting on and I can use any kind of thread (may have to adjust my tension for different types) and I use either Schmetz or Superior Titanium...

Batik Mug Rug

I made a new mug rug using the scraps from a batik quilt I made recently. I just started sewing scrap pieces together and this is what I came up with. Anybody else do this?

I will usually bring a twister out the kitchen...

I will usually bring a twister out the kitchen with my cutting mat and put it on my island. That way I can get around 3 sides easily.

I used a Sizzix Big Shot and a flower die to cut the flowers I put on my quilt. It is similar to a AccuQuilt GO! Baby.

Thanks everyone! I used the Lil' Twister template that uses 5 inch squares. My quilt is 40 x 46 finished. It was 46 x 56 before cutting the blocks. Here is a photo to show the difference.

I made up my own pattern to use the fat quarters...

I made up my own pattern to use the fat quarters I had in that grouping and used my Sizzix for the flowers.
I did a quick sketch in EQ7 also.

Lil' Twister quilt with applique

I continue to really like the Lil' Twister template and made this quilt in a type of Around the World pattern. Then I added some appliqued flowers to add some color. I have more pictures on my blog....

Organization

My room is about 11 x 13 and I think organization is the key no matter what size your room is. I've got to be able to find things right away. Lots of shelves!
