I am looking for suggestions on how to make a thin line of fabric. I'm doing an applique of birds sitting on a wire and I'm not sure how to make the "wire." I know I could just cut it and adhere it...

They are not finding out if it is a boy or a girl but in either case want camo. They are outdoorsy people and want earth tones.
