nativetexan, no it wasn't difficult at all, it was my introduction to strip piecing. It was also hand quilted using antique quilting boards clamped together and propped on chairs tops.

Thank you for responses, I tried a 100W transformer ordered from EBAY and it seems to function as it should now when it's switch is set to 230V.
