Roguequilter is right on the money!!!!! I always use 1/2" on the back of the seam allowance and, and, I make the binding just a little more larger so that it doesn't maybe want to make it smaller...

Scarlet and Grey with Horses

My husband continues to love Scarlet and Grey and I wanted horses on the back. The quilt is 61 1/2" x 61 1/2" for a nice lap quilt for the Ohio State football game for him.

I have been zig-zag with the pieces of batting left. I make the zig zag big and put them on the sewing machine and put the pieces together. They work beautifully!!!
