Parrots progress

My parrots are coming together. Started in jan they take a lot of time, but i wanted a challenge. Hopefully off to the quilters in may. This was a kit fabric kona solids.Never used this fabric before...

cotton poplin

i know this is a little thicker but was wondering if anyone has mixed it with quilting cotton in a quilt .I was told i could wash to make it softer.

Parrots o my!

So my daughter has a parrot so when i saw this Elizabeth Hartman kit i decided to do it. Boy did i soon realize you have to be very organized as I'm NOT! lol

flange binding

Well i suck at machine binding did my placemats by hand untill a friend showed me her quilt. I looked up jenny`s baby quilt with flange and now im using it on my placemats havent tried a quilt yet...

I know to let them dry before ironing but do you lay them in the startch to saturate or just spray?

Has anyone made this, Its a free pattern by donna jordon can`t find the free template would get the ruler but first want to try cutting as she says she gets 5 out of a strip set if the ruler is 9.5...
