Florence Crown machine

Bought this yesterday! From what I can tell it is a Crown and came with a cool coffin top. The previous owners bought the machine and treadle at a yard sale from the grandson of the original owner....

Singer 66

Bought this Singer 66 in a plain cabinet yesterday from a dear old man whose wife had died. Serial number AL267100 indicates it is from 1952. Will be fun to clean it up and use.

The needle is not over the center. It looks to be off to the left. Be sure the machine indicates the needle is centered. You can take it in for a tech to do or Ive sometimes pushed the whole thing...

If it is more obvious to you in person, you can always applique the same size shape over the offending piece with different fabric, hand or machine sew down and blend in your quilting design.

The blades I bought from Amazon were junk. Every one of the 10 blades had nicks. Im back to buying brand name blades. I hope I just got a bad batch but will stick with Olfa for now.
