Thanks you for sharing this! The elastic is a great idea. I'm a long term care nurse, and have been trying to think of an idea that didn't involve ties or velcro to accomidate different head sizes.

If they are about 5 or 6 inches wide, I have used them to make microwavable heating bags (AKA "magic bags") I only use cotton batting, as they are getting heated.
