Yes..we use bleach and dawn exclusively at the animal shelter to prevent spread of diseases. Not much bleach per sinkload. It is a recommended procedure for shelters.

Walmart online has pellon quilters touch batting 9 yards 90 inches wide for under $23. I use this a lot and make almost three queen size quilts out of one bolt. And I save gas and time not...

I adjust mine a lot since I am sewing fleece crate comforters these days. The walking foot dual feed was not enough to control the shifting.

I volunteer at the animal shelter doing laundry...towels take forever to dry...thus require more effort for the dryer to do its job...Actually fleece washes and dries best of all.

Just have to be a little careful with sizes....I make 24 x 24 inches. I always end up a little shy, especially when I use fleece which launders so nicely at the shelter.

The long hairs are lovely. The shelter where I volunteer just had a tan color long hair turned in by its owner..wish people took pet ownership more responsibly.. It is no picnic at the shelter.
