The 403 for sure takes a class 66. The WM bobbins are good for dis-assembly and making earrings. I buy mine from Jenny at Sew-Classic. I don't know anything about the stylist[/quote]

Did you try sewing with the 403 but with the plastic bobbin? I thought the 403 took metal bobbin but maybe a class 15. I don't know as I don't own one. I do have a 457 that I haven't played with but...
