Mine scoots too. I don't like it for piecing because of this. If I were planning on using it for garment sewing where the seam measurement doesn't have to be dead on, it would probably be o.k. but...

Joe, I'm like your wife in how she pins. However, I just bought the Nova Montgomery guides for my FW and with the guides you have to pin from the left. It's going to be a trick for me to do this...

Be careful using the screw on guides with your...
Be careful using the screw on guides with your FW. The can mar the finish. YOu should use felt protectors or something as you will cry if you damage your machine.

I just bought a few guides for my different...
I just bought a few guides for my different machines from Nova Montgomery's site. But, a regular old 1/4" foot has always worked fine for me. I would be careful with anything "sticky" on the finish...
