For sure could be the timing. Really, the needle...
For sure could be the timing. Really, the needle bar height is part of the timing on the machine so that would be fairly easy to spot.

Any of the FW's and 301 can and do go out of time. I've had to retime quite a few. I have no idea why they'd tell you that. If you hit a pin or get a really good thread snarl in the bobbin...

I wonder if your one machine is timed correctly. Sometimes even if they're just a few hairs off they'll be super picky about threads.
