    Just in case you didn't realise Cathy (I think you probably did though) the hinges are not in the same place on these machines so you wouldn't be able to use the VS2 in your IF cabinet.

    Definitely right with both of those points Tammi. The giveaway with the cabinet is the lack of Singer's shuttle symbol on the side. Still, $60 for a VS2 is a fantastic deal and it would be a beauty...

    Nope. The irons and lid are from a Singer, but this is a Singer 12 clone. I'm with Tammi, it looks German. I just sold a German hand crank 12 clone just like this for $A135 (Frister & Rossmann)....

    I did. Also looked at the actual serial number. They have read the F as a 6. It's (obviously) a 66-1 and is from 1912.
    EDIT: CD, I thought a G as well, but on inspection of the image it looks like...
