On the 301, there is a black screw/knob to the left of the bobbin area that you turn to drop the feed dogs.

The 301 is a straight stitch, no fashion disk...

The 301 is a straight stitch, no fashion disk machine, though you can use a zig zag attachment with it. Feed dogs are droppable.
