Kelly that's a lovely old Standard, and it should be used, not just put on display. It keeps them going, using them once in a while. I think vintagemotif knows about Standards.

You might just want to find a new bobbin winder...
You might just want to find a new bobbin winder on eBay...they are on there quite often. Usually around $15 or so. Try Joe's suggestion first, and if not satisfied or it breaks again, then get one.
