    I believe the 8900 has an option to have the presser foot lift automatically when you stop. I use the knee lift on my 7700 to do the same but an automatic lifter would be nice, I think :)

    I've had mine for 2 years and love it. I did have to have the pc board in mine replaced at its first service as the screen had been flickering. It didn't affect the operation but was just annoying....
