I cut a 3" border for the 5" squares. I would say as a general rule, to take the diagonal measurement and cut your border half of that. Correct me if I am wrong, please. I think I cut a 5" border...

The 1 1/2" is marked at about 3/8"
If you have any of the rulers, the centers are all exactly the same degree.

I just made the 1 1/2" template and made one...
I just made the 1 1/2" template and made one twister. The block turns out to be 2 1/2" and finished it would be a 2" sq. perfect for my mini's. These twisters are such fun!
