Thank you all for your comments. I am flattered that people more experienced than I admire my work. I will try and remember to post the Surfer Dude quilt when I finish. It might not be for a while

Here it is, for what it's worth. Finished. Not perfect but I did me best.

The edges are a bit wavy and in hind sight I should have put a plain border on it as well to stabilize the pieced border,...
