The longer one was the only one that you could get with the lighted edge when I ordered mine. I have both sizes and really don't think the lighted edge is worth the extra money. Of course it's not...

I love my Slide-Locs. I also use them to keep my June Taylor strip cutters from shifting - just lay the Slide-Loc beside each slot before I cut and there's no squiggle.
