I, too love the applique pins. They work very well, especially for the thin swirly pieces. Never thought to use the wash away sheets....DUH, thanks for the hints

I think you are right about the borders, but I don't think she has the layout the same as in the book, some of the blocks are in a different order. If she did the 6" blocks that would be 30"...
