I have heard that you should use metal bobbins with metal bobbin cases and plastic with the plastic ones. Don't know if that is gospel or not.

Congrats, Candace! Oil everywhere metal is turning against metal. That is more than the manual says, lol. It only takes one dry spot to cause trouble/noise.
