i have the less expensive FM foot but was wondering about the one that is three times as much it actually looks like it would sew nicer because it has the spring has anyone tried both???

Oh, and I think a 301 section is a great idea ! My DD has a 301 also, that she just found thru an online source it is a couple of years older than mine but does not appear to have belonged to someone...

I have one 301A built in 1956 given to me for my HS Grad. in 1957 and sewn on almost daily ever since. Love this machine ! It shares the sewing room with a BERNINA 1630, a Bernette55 (for classes)...
