The rubber band idea was for emergency use only until you could get a tire. You'll probably find one at Joanne's. Good Luck!

Use a rubber band or two wrapped around the rim where the bobbin winding tire used to be. You will probably have to hold the mechanism against the hand wheel for it to make contact but all you want...
