I would do quartz -easy maintenance. I have corian with under mount sink that matches the counter top. I have had Formica in three homes, but "dates" fast. It can burn and peel.

I, too, use the color catchers more than once....
I, too, use the color catchers more than once. Usually about three times. When the used ones get dark, I will use about three of the used color catchers in the wash. I have never had a problem.

I do buy fabric from quilt shops, but I buy it when it is on sale. There is a big difference in quality, but I do buy JoAnn's fabric too.
