take your time Caroline - it took me six months to just take pics whether the machines work or not. I have a hard time taking pictures of machines that don't work and showing them off...

You are right about the Geringer being a badged machine probably made by National - but it was made in the US. The Japanese 15 clones are a certain type of badged machine - they all have the tension...

it is no wonder they are called clones. They look so much like the Singer on the under side. The difference seems to be the bobbin shuttle style and what ever markings
