Char, I think that it's meant more for appliqué than quilt blocks. Also, if you're looking to cut long strips for borders, I don't know about the Brother, but Silhouette says they can cut up to 10...

I've looked at this one, and the Silhouette Cameo. From what I understand, you can hook up the Silhouette to your PC to cut out pics. With the Brother you have to scan the pic first and run it...
