Looks like the wrong bobbin to me also. I have and love my old '76 Kenmore. Been a while since I bought bobbins- I think it takes a metal class 15, but would have to check to be sure.

I saw one with beautiful mother of pearl decorations in a private collection in MA. Also at the Adirondack museum in NY there's one where the box cover unfolds to make a lovely large sewing surface....
