Too bad the warranty isn't filled in. 1900 is a good guess, the warranty paper probably has 19__. Unfortunately there a no Davis Model H warranties on the Needlebar website to get an accurate...

Yes, a tension assembly that the thread wraps completely around. It's an old Davis High Arm Vertical Feed from the early 1890's.

Sort of. I've had good luck with my Davis "upgraded" VS machines. I believe Miriam and Archaic when they tell me their machines are crazy loud. The vibration part was an attempt at humor.
