    I don't think that even Solvy has an iron-on fusible that washes away. They have iron-on fusibles, and they have wash-away fusibles, but not one that is both. I think. If I'm wrong, someone...

    Washing an unfinished top can result in distortion and -- if there is any piecing -- raveled seams. Plus, I don't think washing makes a fusible any less stiff.

    Which brand of fusible did you use?...
